QuietScribe

Privacy policy

Updated 15 September 2026. Digital It Up, 11th Cross, Mahadeshwara Extn, Hebbal High Tension Road, Mysore 570016, India, provides QuietScribe and this website. Contact info@digitalitup.in about privacy or your personal data.

Meeting content and your Mac

Audio capture, transcription, speaker detection, summaries and meeting-chat answers run on your Mac. QuietScribe does not upload meeting audio, transcripts or notes to our servers for processing, and we do not use them to train models. Audio may include other apps playing through your system audio, not just the intended call.

You control your saved recordings, transcripts, notes and destination settings. Notion receives notes when you enable that destination. Apple Notes may sync through iCloud, and folders or Obsidian vaults may sync through iCloud, Dropbox or another service you use. Those services handle content under their own policies. Choose an unsynced local folder if you want to keep content on the device.

The background service periodically removes completed recording files older than 30 days while it is running. Recovery files from failed or interrupted sessions are retained for you to recover or delete and are not covered by that cleanup. Notes and transcripts in your destinations remain until you delete them. The app does not provide its own audio encryption at rest or secure erasure. Device access controls, backups and cloud sync affect who can access or recover files.

Information used to provide the service

Website analytics and tracking

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-FYT24HR96L) to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic — for example, which pages are visited and whether the download or beta-signup link is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and shares limited information, such as your IP address and page interactions, with Google acting as our processor. We do not load advertising pixels or third-party fonts, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not use this site to track you across unrelated websites. Google Analytics does not record your screen, keystrokes or form entries (no session replay). If you are in the EU/UK/EEA, you can block analytics with a content blocker or browser setting; we are working to add a consent banner, and until then you may opt out using Google’s opt-out add-on. When you continue to checkout, the page also loads Paddle’s checkout software; Paddle may use its own cookies, security and payment technologies, and its notices apply to that processing.

Purposes, providers and international processing

We use account information to provide the service you request, respond to support requests and administer subscriptions. We use limited security information to protect the service against misuse and keep records where legally required. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of a contract or steps you request before a contract, legitimate interests in service security and support, and legal obligations. Where consent is required for additional processing, we will request it separately and allow withdrawal.

Service providers process information to host the website and license backend, deliver emails, and handle payments. The license backend uses Supabase, service email delivery uses Resend, and Paddle acts as merchant of record. We do not sell personal data. Providers and their infrastructure may process information outside India or your country. Applicable transfer safeguards and provider agreements must be used where required by law. Contact us for details relevant to your account.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and licensing data while needed to provide access and support. When you request deletion or close your account, we remove information no longer needed, subject to billing, fraud-prevention, dispute and legal-retention requirements. Necessary records may remain for those purposes and backups may expire separately. Contact us for the applicable retention period for a particular record. Deleting a server account does not remove local recordings, notes, files already exported, or copies held by your cloud destinations.

Your choices and rights

You can change destinations, stop recording, remove local files and contact us to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your account data. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent or complain to a supervisory authority. We may need proportionate verification to protect your account before fulfilling a request. Contact info@digitalitup.in; tell us the email associated with your account, without including your license key.

Recording other people

The app’s prompt asks for your approval; it does not notify participants or obtain their consent. You must determine whether you may record, give required notices, obtain required consent, and respect workplace and confidentiality obligations in the locations involved. You are responsible for handling the meeting content you collect and share.

Policy changes

We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice where required. The date above identifies this version.
